Who doesn’t love a spot of live entertainment?
We do! That’s why we’re hosting open mic for all weird and wonderful talent. Musicians, poets, magicians, singers, acoustic artists – if you want to show it, we want to see it!
Join us on Tuesday the 9th of October for The Black Lion Open Mic Night. A night of drinks, laughs and meeting new people, different and like-minded – all with something to offer!
Hosted by our very own talent Freddie Bruhin-Price and featuring spoken word poet, Jordan Hayward, from Manchester. Appearing in such poetry publications as Soft Cartel and Adjacent Pineapple – Jordan’s morbidly hilarious spoken word is performed to the lucky minority of Manchester and Liverpool.
Many other acts have already been slotted into the line-up.
The Black Lion is a small but charming venue, over 130 years old, with great acoustics and PA system, perfect for open mic and social over a few beers – or whatever your beverage of choice!
Freddie’s open mic night is the first of its kind at The Black Lion – but who can say where it’ll go! Come down, bring your friends and have a go!
The Black Lion is a friendly local pub, tucked away with Blackfriars Bridge, just off Deansgate in Manchester. When we’re not running open mic night we’re offering free pool on Monday’s for customers, great banter with the bar staff and a chilled atmosphere that really picks up in the evenings and weekends.
